The New Jersey Conservation District Employees Association (NJCDEA) was established on May 16, 1983 to represent the Soil Conservation District Employees' interests at the state and national level.
NJCDEA is a voluntary, nonprofit association of personnel employed by New Jersey's 16 Soil Conservation Districts, and is closely affiliated with the New Jersey Association of Conservation Districts (NJACD), and the National Association of Conservation Districts (NACD).
NJCDEA is managed by a four member board of directors which is elected by the general membership. Officers include the President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer. NJCDEA's activities are supported by district employee membership dues.
NJCDEA is assisted by advisors representing the State Soil Conservation Committee (SSCC) and New Jersey Association of Conservation Districts, and operates according to its own By-laws which are in harmony with NJACD and NACD.
